The Role
The Member Services Officer is responsible for administrative and operational work that contribute to the effective running of the credit union. The Member Service Officer is on the front line of service provision and is a positive, professional, and friendly face that engages with members daily.
About First Tech Credit Union
First Tech Credit Union was originally established in 1961, originally the Eircom Credit Union but now First Tech Credit Union and able to accept members from anyone working in the ICT sector including global brands like Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Vodafone, Ericsson, Symantec, PayPal and many more. The credit union is based in the city centre at 55 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
Reporting
Reporting to Senior Member Services Officer - Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Member Services Officer
• Undertaking teller duties such as processing member lodgments, withdrawals and issuing approved loans.
• Providing the members of the Credit Union with a courteous, pleasant and professional service. This can be via face-to-face interaction, phone or through our website / email.
• Managing the workflow of loan applications and engaging with members on their loan application.
• Undertaking back office administrative/operational duties to service members and to support the team.
• Compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations.
Person Requirements
The credit union is looking for an individual with the following traits who is motivated to provide excellent service to members and be a key member of a high-performing member services team.
• Experience in financial services or a business qualification is preferable
• Customer focused with a friendly and professional manner
• Excellent oral communicator, a pleasant manner and empathy when dealing with members on the phone and online,
• Ability to develop and maintain good rapport, friendly and professional relationships with members
• Attention to detail, accuracy in work, getting things right, while also providing quick turnaround and working at a good pace in a fast- moving environment
• Good numerical skills
• Good computer skills
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
• Excellent team player
Contract Duration
This is a permanent position, subject to a successful 6 month probationary period.
Working Hours
The role is full-time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.
Location
The role is based on-site at 55 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 ED92.
Salary & Benefits
The credit union will offer salary and benefits commensurate with the role. Salary scales with annual increments apply. A pension and other benefits are provided. Training opportunities will be provided.
